Spencer and Tessa Douglas

Spencer and Tessa Douglas both earned their bachelor's and master's degrees from Southern Utah University, Spencer in accounting and Tessa in communication. Although they attended SUU simultaneously during the early 2000s, fate didn't bring them together until 2012 when a chance meeting at the Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games Opening Ceremonies ignited their relationship. Both credit SUU and the exceptional education it provided for the professional and personal successes they have experienced. They both relied on financial aid and scholarships to earn their degrees, and now that they are in a position to give back, have created the Tessa & Spencer Douglas Scholarship to help students in need. They have seen first-hand how degrees open doors and provide opportunities that are not available without them. They are immensely passionate about higher education and its ability to impact lives for the better, and are grateful they can help students who are working toward that goal.
